Counseling

The Counseling Ministry at PUMC is available for those in need of help.  This ministry is somewhat different than many counseling or therapy models in that it is an informal, conversational way of relating to the person coming for help.  Time and care are taken to listen well to understand the person’s story and what has brought them in.  The person seeking help and the counselor work together to uncover areas that may be contributing to the problem at hand.  Our lives are lived out through relationships with ourselves, others, and God.  We often have problems in life and need someone to come alongside us to help untangle and understand these overlapping areas in our lives.  This ministry seeks to provide wise counsel.

At PUMC, Patricia Hamilton is the counselor on staff available to help.  Patricia has a Master’s Degree in Biblical Counseling and has been a member of PUMC since 1997.  Her ministry is a confidential, guiding relationship with others which is birthed and guided by prayer.  Click here to provide information so that Patricia may reach out to you.
