LEU Road to Hope

LEU - Road to Hope Tour 2018
TEAM MANATEE COUNTY NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT!

Jim and Lori Racky, faithful and active members of Parrish UMC, have again joined a team of law enforcement officers from both the Manatee County Sheriff's Office and the Bradenton Police Department to participate in the 2018 Law Enforcement United, Inc. “Road to Hope Tour” (Honor the Fallen, Remember the Survivors).  Jim is a Patrol Lieutenant with the Bradenton Police Department and will be riding in this event and Lori will be a Support member.

Law Enforcement United (LEU) is founded upon and committed to honoring officers who have died in the line of duty, and
ensuring that their surviving family is supported and not forgotten. They are a 100% volunteer driven organization.

The ride (tour): This is not your typical bicycle tour!! The event takes place May 7, 2017 through May 12, 2017 and
consists of a three day 250 mile cycling event that starts in Chesapeake, VA and ends in Washington D.C.

LEU raises money to cover the operating expenses for the Concerns of Police Survivors Kids Summer Camp. The
C.O.P.S. Summer Camp provides surviving spouses and children the opportunity to work with professional counselors
and trained mentors to improve communications within the family unit and resolve grief issues together while enjoying a
camp atmosphere.  Click HERE and HERE to see two videos about the C.O.P.S. Summer Camp.

LEU also supports the Officer Down Memorial Page (ODMP).

Responsibilities of Team Manatee County: Individual members of the team are required to fundraise a set donation
amount. Cyclists are required to raise $1,500.00 each and Support Personnel are required to raise $825.00 each, which is
due no later than April 1, 2018.

All donations to Team Manatee County are appreciated to assist with covering our set fundraising amount and travel
expenses. All unused travel funds will be donated to LEU at the conclusion of the event.

To support Team Manatee County’s LEU fundraising goal, please make donation checks out to Law Enforcement
United, Inc. Should you wish to support us with our travel expenses, please make donation checks out to Team
Manatee County.
